Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat
Broadway Arts Lab Company
Rosen Performing Arts Center
Based on the the story from the Bible's Book of Genesis, Joseph explores themes that revolve around family dynamics - both the good and the bad.
The directors' concept was to place this show in a circus, with each character from the story being an individual/animal that would be found in a circus show.

Practicals - Footlights
For this production, the directors requested for footlights to be used at the base of the stage, on the ramps leading up to the stage from the house. After many conversations, I decided to build basic footlights from scratch with light bulbs and bulb bases screwed into strips of wood. For the side that is facing the audience, we used aluminum pie tins, spray painted gold, to avoid blinding the audience as well as to reflect the light towards the stage - since light bulbs are omnidirectional.
